full moon

The Full Moon is a time for illumination and a mixture of the seeds beginning to bloom from those planted at the New Moon six months earlier.

She shines brightly and at her fullest with the Sun illuminating her fullness. It represents abundance, fertility, and release. Because. of this fullness and illumination it is high lighting what is working for you and what is not working for you, what needs to be released and readjusted.

It can often come with conflicting and polarising emotions, feeling intense as it’s in friction with the sun making things feel more intense. This can also be ramped up depending on your zodiac placements for example if you’re an Aries sun or rising and the Full Moon is in Aries you are going to be feeling this more intently than others.

You may also notice disrupted sleep leading up to, during, and after the Full Moon and this is because of a push-and-pull feeling from both the sun and the moon as they are in opposite directions which can take a toll on the psychical body. To help with sleeping crystals such as Amythest, black tourmaline, selenite and can place around your bed or on the bedside table to help you sleep.

To work with the Full Moon you can charge your crystals also on a Full Moon, you can do this by placing them on a window sill, or covered outside in a sealed container to protect them from the elements. You can create Moon water by having a glass filled with water by the window sill or covered outside…whichever works for you. You can also have a bath to connect with the silence and water to soothe you (you might feel more called if you are a water sign), you can create a space where you can write out what you wish to release think self - limiting beliefs and burn them in a candle and bury the ashes into the Earth giving thanks for how far they have served you but it’s time to release now.

If you notice your cycles have synched up with the Full Moon and you’re bleeding with the Full Moon this can represent self - actualisation for yourself and empowering the women. Historically when bleeding with the Full Moon or Red Moon it would be associated with medicine women, the elders of a community, and midwives.

You can track your cycle with the Moon phases by taking notes daily and dating them with the cycle of the Moon a great app I use to track the Moon's lunation is called The Moon. Over a couple of months, you will start to notice how you feel, and any fluctuations and notice when you’re cycle arrives so you have some reference and a better understanding of yourself.
